How long is a regular skimboard?

How much weight can my skimboard support?

• I just bought a used Zap skimboard for $85. It has traction pads, its 1" thick, its 20" wide, but for some reason its only 41" tall. I've read that these skimboards can only support 100-130 pounds, however the store said it could support up to 200 pounds. Can my skimboard support 130 pounds? Or is my skimboard a special kind that is made shorter and can support more pounds?

  First you need to realize that any weight recommendation is just that, a recommendation. If you're good at picking your waves, fast when running and mounting the board you might get away with a small board. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I think you got ripped off. I think they sold you a Zap Lazer and it's really only rated for 90 lb riders who are beginners. Check out the links below. The first is for the Lazer and the second is for all the Zap skim boards. The Lazer is the only board I see that matches the dimensions you've given. I hope you can return or exchange the board.. Good luck..
