How to attach the mast to the windsurfer board?

Questions about buying windsurfers?

• I am new to buying a windsurfer and am wondering if , if you buy a board do you get a fin? if you buy a sail do you get a mast? if you buy a sail do you get a boom? if you buy a mast do you get a thing to put it in the board? thank you for looking at my questions any answers will help.

• Answer:

  If you buy a complete package you will get everything, but most people buy the bits individually. The reason being :- 1) Fins break, and certain fin sizes and shapes are for certain disciplines. 2) You will need more than 1 sail. 3) You could get away with a variable length boom but if the wind is up and down you're better off with 2 rigs set up on the beach, therefore you will need 2 booms. 4) Like wise with masts 5) You will need a mast foot for every mast you have (or plan on using) but only 1 deck plate (which attaches the mast foot to the board) Hope this helps :o)
