Answer:
Yes, this is real, but outdated. It an old hoax that tries to get you to download a virus when you click the link to see the picture of him being hanged. Here is the link to the Snopes site that explain it. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/osama.asp

Please do NOT send that out! It's an ancient urban legend/scam e-mail. It's been around in one variation or another for over 10 years now. Just delete it, please!

No, it's a hoax - but always be on the safe side and visit www.snopes.com and it's a site for hoaxes, etc. You can always double check there.

Most of these types of e-mails are just scams. Real security threats are posted on Microsoft's website. Ignore it, and most of all, don't send the e-mail to everyone you know. The e-mail itself might be a virus, or an attempt to phish/farm all your friend's addresses.

if you have hotmail, norton automaticly does a scan, but if you see the e-mail, i don't see why the virus could get to your computer, unless they tampered withhyperlinks and stuff

Most probably this is just a chain letter! people make them up and send them around all them time, have you ever gotten one that told you you were going to die? i have, lots of them and here i am typing away to answer your question. so just ignore, if there really was something like that going around it would make the news, not your inbox,. Hope i helped, Bye

Yah yah yah, this virus DOES not exist and chances are if you just copied and pasted it in TEXT format, it should do nothing, but if anything was attached, you may have sent a virus. Viruses are always able to be repaired in a matter of hours once discovered. Chances are good that viruses cant just shutdown your computer in a second, they have to logout and shutdown manually unless they manage to mess with the computers hardware on the physical portion, such as overclocking your processor until it melts and such. They can do that and be careful.
