Don't you think she is been rude about my pc maybe having virus?
-
I don't know anything much about computers. But my cousin gave me a laptop which is now a couple of years old. Now my friend and i were going to watch a movie, and she brought her portable stick to my house so we could watch the movie on my computer, then she ask me " does your computer have any virus and when is the last time i did virus update" i was upset that she ask me that, i told her no my computer doesnt have virus. Also i told her if people have anti virus on there computer it means they don't got virus, she says that is not necessarily true, because maybe their virus defination are not uptodate or it's a lousy virus checker. She said i shouldn't take insult to her question because it is a normal question. Because virus gets transmitted to other computer very easily all the time even when people don't know it. she said she keeps her anti virus uptodate to keep her pc virus free so she is just keeping her pc safe. But still why does she have to ask me such insulting question

Answer:
She's right and you're wrong. It's not insulting, since you obviously don't know much about viruses. She's just giving you good advice and isn't responsible for your insecurities.

The thing is, you dont know if you have a virus, there is no icon or sign right that would say Hey you got a virus buddy! If the virus was to spread to her memory stick and then she put it in her computer, now her computers going to be ruined ok. So no, shes not rude. You could of easily and maybe should of asked her the same thing! She is keeping her computer updated, meaning she pays a yearly fee to ensure her computer remains safe, but with all anti virus software, they can only do so much.
