Do online surveys really work?

Online surveys? Do they really work? Is it a scam, how safe is it?

  • Obviously I don't trust anything involving personal information over the internet, even PayPal and eBay were tough for me to trust. What about those advertised online "work-at-home" advertisements that you see everywhere. Has anyone really tried those, paid the membership fee, and received an actual check from the company you worked for? Does anyone have any suggestions or warnings? I have become interested in this, and I think if it works that I could make come money. Thanks for your time.

    Two things to live by, especially on the internet... 1. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. 2. Never pay someone to give you a job. I'm not going to say that there aren't any good work-from-home jobs. I'm not going to say that you can't find a good one on the internet. I will say that probably 90% of the work-from-home stuff on the internet is a scam. Best of luck.

They are scams. Although Maybe 1 in a billion might be legit. I worked for one, I was an idiot. A complete idiot gave me personal info over the internet and had my idenity stolen. I was lucky enough that my back was smart and cancelled everything.

Well I personally think that these adverts are mere scams. They trick you into paying a deposit or whatever so as to carry out fraudulant activities.

A LOT of survey companies are just scams, but there are serious companies that do pay money for you to take surveys. Don't waste your time on any sites that require you to sign up for "special offers" before completing surveys. Also you should NEVER have to provide credit card information or make any payments to sign up to complete surveys. Some suverys are safe some are not. Two rules of thumb, if they ask for your credit card info, dont join. Second, if they claim you will make thousands of dollars, don't join :) Other than that, most dont hur to try. I made a site listing the ones I use, only 5 of them, but they all have paid at least. There is one that I did not list, and can not figure out how to edit my yahoo page. This one is called Baker St. Solutions (type it in google and it's the first listing). The pay by Amazon gift cards. Only send me about 2 surveys a month that range from $5-$25. Not cash, but you can get some neat stuff on Amazon, and its better when it's free :) But check out my site, I listed how much they pay, when they pay, and how they pay. There is some good infomation about legit. survey sites here: http://www.surveypolice.com/ http://surveybounty.com/free_surveys/america.html Just remember, you will not get rich taking online surveys, you cannot even make a decent living. All you will get a a little extra pocket money, some gift cards and some (usually) cheap Chinese-made merchandise. Any site that claims you can make a LOT of money doing online survey is a scam.

Hi I recently joined an online survey company, they pay you for you opinion. The pay is great and i have actually be paid, so it cant be a scam.
