What is the better antivirus software?

    Avast! I have been using it forever and I have NEVER had a problem...My favorite feature is the warning when you go to a web page that has viruses on it, It automatically scan the web page and a VERY loud siren with a pop up box will let you know so you can abort the connection (adjust volume accordingly) I love it and I wont go back to anything else that I have tried. Plus it takes up zilch space on your computer as opposed to McAfee and Norton (used them both and they didnt do anything for me)

Did you mean Avira? i personally prefer Avira because i somehow felt that it is lighter. In terms of protection, according to AV-Comparatives, Avira has a greater detection rate. It says that Avira can detect & remove about 99.7% malwares while Avast! can detect & remove about 98.2% malwares. The best Antivirals software i found works well is AVG. Its free, its safe, it tells you what sight is safe, and what is not!
