You can find the predators in the chat rooms set up in a bunch of places. There they can hide behind the guise of another teen and try to set up conversations with potential victims. As far as the other stuff, there are no secret backdoors that are untraceable, e.t.c. It's all out there. Just do a search on 'whatever' topic and start "surfing the net" for it. My kids are all grown now, but when they were teens, I just told them there's a lot of stuff available that they don't need to be looking at and I'd be very disappointed if they did betray my trust and go searching for that sort of thing. The only way you can check is to look at the internet history and cache and possibly by looking at the cookies downloaded to get an idea of where a previous user has been. I don't let the files keep growing unbounded, so I erase them quite frequently. There are programs you can purchase that screens sites, but if I couldn't trust my kids , I would have eliminated internet access for them.
