How effective is NOSCRIPT with firefox 3?

Mozilla Firefox w/ NoScript Add-ON?

  • I just installed Mozilla Firefox w/ NoScript Add-ON... How do I set it up to work well these sites that we want protection from: Cafemom.com facebook.com myspace.com is there a way to get those "still single?" ads off our myspace accounts?

    http://noscript.net This is my set up. click on NOSCRIPT and go to>options>advanced>cookies and check the box that says>"Enable secure cookie management. Under untrusted I have all boxes checked off. Under plugins on the left side where it starts of with (forbid Java) I have all boxes checked off in that section only. The rest are set by default. Under white list if you feel the site can be trusted then left click on NOSCRIPT icon and click "allow all on this site or click temporary allow all on this site. If you are worried about seeing a lot of ads then install ADBLOCK PLUS.

Not sure, but give these 2 a try; For nearly ad-free pages when surfing; use Firefox with these add-ons: Flashblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433 Add block plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 It may help if you do this also: FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy: Check 'Accept Cookies from sites' & Un-Check 'Accept 3rd Party cookies'

Hi. When you go to ANY site you will get an "Options" bar at the bottom. Select the home site and nothing else. This will block all but essential scripts from running. Good luck! (Just to remind you, those ads are why the site is "free".)
