How do I get rid of one of my Yahoo email addresses?

How does Yahoo email account get infected by virus?

  • Any one here can explain to me how does yahoo email a/c get infected by virus and mails get automatically sent to addresses? I have this doubt as Yahoo email account is a web based account which is different from outlook so how does the virus attack work? thanks for your advice.

    The account itself does not get infected. However, your computer can get infected. The virus can then snarf any e-mail addresses it can find (including those in your Yahoo! contacts) and sends itself to them. Also, once a worm exploited a vulnerability in Yahoo! mail and spread to other users when you just read the infected e-mail - but Yahoo! fixed the vulnerabiloity and killed the worm in a matter of hours.
