How can I get the IP address of the person through his email address?

How can I get the real IP address of someone who is email and Facebook cyberstalking me?

  • I have had someone cyberstalking me on Facebook with fake profiles and using those email addresses to send me harassing emails to my yahoo account. I am certain I know who this person is so how can I get yahoo and FB to cooperate and help me get the IP address this person is using. It is becoming a matter of safety.

    I would suggest you to use the email header tracer to find out the original location of the sender, and the most important, is to find out the ISP of the sender. You need to know his or her ISP. Then contact your lawyer, as his Internet Service Provider (ISP) will only reveal his personal information if legal action has been taken.

You are going to the wrong places. You must contact your states Attorney General or your local county Distrist Attorney. Because... A persons ISP (internet service provider) owns and issues their IP Address. And most people have a dynamic IP address that their ISP changes every 24 hours or so. Pretty useless to anyone. In the USA, the only way to get an ISP to release personal information (name, telephone, address etc.) about a particular IP address is with a Court Order. And Court Orders are usually only given out in the case of suspected serious criminal activity. Don't hold your breath, I am talking SERIOUS, not normal teenage "horse-play". Good luck anyway.
