Emails are not usually kept on personal computers, unless you have downloaded them or created a local archive/backup - they are kept on mail servers. The mail server could be one of the public mail servers eg mail.yahoo.com, gmail, hotmail or it could be one hosted by a company for its mails. Did you download the mails from one of these mail servers to your pc? If yes, the information on what format did you download them in would be crucial for any useful answer. For example, MS Outlook client allows you to export your messages into an excel file or an access database or a csv file.
