How do I get my old yhahoo home page back?

How do I get security center off my home page when I never set it as my home page?

  • I was a pop up and ever since then when I press the explorer it comes up instead of yahoo, which is suppose to be my home page. I went to yahoo to set it as my home page again and it didn't work it still came up security center. I went to it's page and try to find a way to take it off or find a way to email a person a the page but I couldn't find anything like that. Now it's causing other problems for my computer, like random pop-ups that my computer wouldn't normally have. Pop-ups that after I close them come right back up. It also has inappropriate ads popping up.

your virus protector is not protecting you.. updating your anti is always a good idea, before you run the scan.. AVG, was one i always depended on.. stops pop ups, hackers.. anyways run your scan and then click tools.. a menu will drop down, click internet options and type in your home page.. click ok and close.. bummer eh

Have you tried scanning for spyware? There are many free ones out there. I found this guide pretty helpful, hope this helps. http://www.basicspywaretips.com/getridofspyware.html

This is caused by spywares. Try running a spyware detector program and an anti-virus. I usually use both ad-adware and spybot for spyware detector, and for anti virus, I use Norton, although I'm considering getting BitDefender.

You have a browser hijacker on your Pc. Use these scans to remove it. All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free. AVG Removes I-Worm/Stration · BackDoor.Generic3.GBB and .GBC · Worm/Generic.FX · Exploit.WMF http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5 Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer. http://www.safer-networking.org/ http://superantispyware.com/ SUPERAntiSpyware is the most thorough scanner on the market. Our Multi-Dimensional Scanning and Process Interrogation Technology will detect spyware that other products miss! SUPERAntiSpyware will remove ALL the Spyware, NOT just the easy ones! Easily remove over 100,000 pests such as SmitFraud, Vundo, WinFixer, SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, WinAntiVirus, AntiVermins and thousands more! Make sure after you download any of these, that you update them.
