How to allow xbox 360 through firewall?

Norton Internet Security 2009 smart firewall is blocking xbox 360 and photobucket?

  • After spending hours i found out i couldnt see pictures on photobucket i had posted and couldnt get the xbox 360 to connect to the pc because of the smart firewall was blocking it. I clicked on the smart firewall option but theres no obvious way to allow these programs to work, the only way i can make it work is to turn it off. any ideas thanks Marc.

    Norton, as well as Mcafee, are resource hogs. While they may "work" most of the time, I would recommend agaisnt them. Windows firewall is more than adequate, and easy to configure for those items you want access to. For true firewall protection, a hardware one (typically built into a router) is a much better solution than a third party software firewall.

Norton = Junk. It does more harm than good, and clogs up your computer like mud in a bucket. Get rid of it is my advice, the firewall (when updated) in Windows is more than adequate, or you can use ZoneAlarm which is ok. For AntiVirus, use AVG (Free).
