How or where can you report a hacker?

How do I report hacker threats?

• I was just wondering where I would report someone who says they will hack my email, then my IP then my hard drive and damage it. I have multiple screen shots and copy and pasted conversations where this individual threatened to really mess up my computer because I was in a chat room and this person didn't want me in there and said if I come to chat rooms where they are at that they would hack me, what's that all about. I've since then upgraded my security, my routers password has a very long password, I've enabled it's firewall and closed all the ports, I also have Sunbelt Firewall running along with AVG 8 and don't read any emails that I don't know or add people on my Windows Live Messenger I don't know either. I live in Ottawa Ontario and am not sure who to report this all to besides calling the police and I've also reported it to the website that runs the chat rooms. Can anyone give me an idea as I want to explore every option. This person also lives in the U.S and I'm in Canada. Thanks for any help!

  You have a threat< not action. To report this< you have to have proof. If your security has view and log, open it up and see if someone is hacking you. Your firewall is keeping hackers out> your provider might have an e-mail address for you to e-mail. Again you have to have proof. The proof will be in the view and log. this sounds just like a threat.
