How do I uninstall the AVG free anti virus 2011 toolbar?

I think i got a virus! Help me!!!?

• Ok so i turn my laptop on today and a wierd logo in the bottom right taskbar was there it was like a circle/shield looking think that was gray with black lines through it (like checkered) I had no idea what it was but i cant click on it to open it or right click on it. It makes my computer really slow and pause. So i started my laptop in safe mode and looked in my uninstall programs and saw some wierd thing i never heard of or installed. so i uninstalled. it took the shield away but now My speakers make a wierd noise! its a noise that is always there and i have to mute my laptop or it gets really annoying and i cant listen to music anymore because of this noise. Its such a wierd noise i cant explain what it sounds like, it is just really annoying, i think i have a virus. I did CC Cleaner, Spybot search and destroy, and AVG is scanning right now for virus's hasnt found anything but tracking cookies yet.   i can say you really got a virus because once i got that shield on the bottom too and shows me i got 32 to virus and i did so i recommend you to scan the computer and remove those viruses.
