My scanner said it found a virus this one to be exact "Exploit.PDF-JS.Gen " it says it can hack into my bank accts etc. but it said it can't be cleaned??? So how do I go about removing this? I thought this is why you get virus protection to get rid/avoid viruses this is really irritating.

Answer:
Download Hijack This from the link below and choose "Do a system scan and save log file". Once the scan is complete the log file will open. Copy and paste the results into the text box of the second link below (although the main menu window offers you to upload the file log it is much faster to copy and paste). After pasting, click analyze and wait for the results to display. Scroll down the list to find all entries with a red x next to them. Locate those entries in the Hijack This main window and place check marks in the respective boxes. After all invalid entries have been marked click on "fix selected". Next, download, update and choose a quick scan with Malwarebytes. Good luck!! http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html http://www.hijackthis.de/ http://malwarebytes.org

Is this "Anti-virus" familiar to you? Because it's probably a rogue Anti-virus trying to rob you of your credit card information. Re-start your computer. As it is starting up, continuously pres F8 to start in Safe Mode. Then end all the suspicious processes in your task manager, they will usually be random letters and numbers like this: 2YEFYU654.exe. To make your life easier, you can use this file to do it for you. Run the program. http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.com Then install Malwarebytes Anti Malware (MBAM) at http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe If it makes you go to a page to buy their "Anti-virus" when you open your web browser, then go to the Tools tab, then go to Internet Options. Go to the Connections tab, and go to LAN Settings. Make sure you un-check Use a Proxy Server for Your LAN, so that outside websites can't redirect where your computer goes. Now download MBAM. Run a full scan and make sure you remove all the files. (the scan may take a while) When your computer finishes rebooting, go to MBAM and remove all items from the Quarantine. Your computer should be clean now. If you want to be safe, you can delete all your Temp files and your History with C-Cleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/download I hope I helped :]

Use combofix from bleepingcomputer.com, then download malwarbytes(you may need to rename the installer/setup to something like winlogon.exe to be able to run or install it) from malwarebytes.com or softpedia.com, then clean the rest of the virus with superantispyware and Hitman Pro 3.5 from softpedia.com/cnet.com and just in case you do have a rootkit on your system use GMER from majorgeek.com(Use gmer to scan and anything in red delete.) Future Protection use this wizard to recommend security protection for your system: http://www.techsupportalert.com/secwiz or go to safe mode and then do the above: To get into Safe Mode with Networking: 1. Log out and reboot your machine. 2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly. 3. Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu. If not seek an expert. Good Luck!

I would suggest using Avast. I had to use them 3 day ago because I downloaded a program that had a virus attached. The virus wouldn't let me do anything, not even 'safe mode'. Long story shot, somehow I was able to download Avast and after 2 hours My computer was fine. Avast is a free down loadable program that is very through and will get rid of the problem while scaning you computer

yes, run that malwarebytes, and let us know what anti-virus you got, theres fakes out there that cause more problems than fix them... try this software out, theres a free trial, 30 days, which should be enough, http://www.eset.com/ but you'll have to uninstall your old anti-virus, if you have a subscription like norton, then i guess. continue it, as long as you have cds and crap, idk.....but yeah, try it or get malwarebytes.... and if the problems still continue, just let us know...

Which antivirus are we talking about? From the output it gave you, it sounds like a fake antivirus (System Security 2010, etc). Run MalwareBytes.

You can run antivirus and antispyware programs, but the sad fact is if you have found one virus on your computer, you probably have several. Cleaning the computer now requires you to follow these steps, because modern viruses and spyware entrench themselves in files that your computer needs in order to run: 1. Virus-check your data files (not application files-- you have installer CDs for those). 2. Back up the data files, getting them off your hard drive. 3. Get your original operating system CDs that came with your computer. 4. Boot your computer from the operating system CD. 5. Select the option that erases your hard drive and then reinstall your system software. 6. Turn on your software firewall that came with your operating system. 7. Reconnect to the internet, and download *all* Windows updates, no matter how long it takes. 8. Reinstall your application software, and update the applications as much as you can. 9. Reinstall your data files. 10. Create a limited user account on your system that does *not* have administrator access, and web surf only from this account. Yes, this is a pain in the butt. No, there is no other way. No, antivirus and antispyware programs cannot fix this problem on its own. So, what do you do in the future? 1. Never click on links you find in an e-mail. 2. Never open an e-mail attachment, ever. 3. Only download files from a reputable website that you know is on the up-and-up. 4. Never use bit-torrent and other file-sharing programs. 5. Never use an unsolicited drive-checking site. 6. Turn off all java and java scripting by default, and only enable java and java scripting for sites that you know you can trust. 7. Never read an unsolicited e-mail, and delete spam immediately. It is possible to be hacked by reading an e-mail alone. Please adhere to the 'dont's' I provided above, because you will have to repeat the cleaning steps that I listed first *every time you get infected.* Anti-spyware and anti-virus programs are good to have, but they are a second line of defense. The best way to protect your system is you, and changing your behavior. Good luck!
