Does google wealth connection really work?

Can't access google.com or any related google sites, virus help?

  • For some reason, I can't access google or any google related site such as google calendar (can still access gmail though). It doesn't work on Firefox or Google Chrome, it just goes to a "Problem Loading Page - Server Not Found." I can't even use the Google Search Toolbar! I know this isn't a router/connection problem because I can easily access it on other computers on the same network/wireless. It is just this computer. I've also had a few bluescreens, freezes and a "windows cannot hibernate" error, so I really need to fix this issue. I think I have a virus/spyware/adware of some sort, but can't seem to get rid of it. My antivirus and whatnot have picked up a few trojans and removed them, but still can't access google. Here's what I've tried: -AVG Internet Security full scan. Has picked up 2 Trojan horse Cryptic.DXB, and 4 unknown malware files in C:\windows\temp. All have been quarantined. -CC Cleaner. Cleaned up all caches and cookies (also manually cleaned them on firefox) -Malware Bytes. Full scan, nothing came up. -HiJackThis. Checked and deleted some weird stuff on the log w/ bing and google. -Spybot Search and Destroy. Picked up 2 trojans as well (don't remember the names) and removed them. -Ad-Aware. Ran it for 2 hours then the computer froze. Will run again whenever I get a chance, will update if anything changes. -FixQhost program from Symantec in case it was a Trojan Quost. Didn't find anything. -FixSwen program from Symantec in case it was a W32.Swen.A@mm Trojan. Didn't find anything either. I've literally spent all day trying to fix this, and no solutions. I'm running Windows 7 on a fairly old Toshiba laptop. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Answer:

Run rkill, it's a small executable, no need to install. Read the entire description to see why you should run it: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill After rkill has run successfully, update, and run another full scan with MBAM. Then update, and run a full scan with your AV. After those scans, run TDSSKiller, another executable for rootkits, download link is at the bottom of the page, zip file, here is the direct link: http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.exe
