How do I remove MyWebSearch?

Does anyone know how to remove 'MyWebSearch' completely?

• I have tried to remove this annoying tool and it seems like it has hijacked my other search engines,Google,Yahoo etc. I have tried to remove it via Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove programmes. I can't seem to find it on 'the currently installed programmes' list. I also tried to uninstall it by clicking on the toolbar tab I followed the instructions where it says'uninstall mywebsearch', and then rebooted my comp.Unsuccessful. Has anyone got any suggestions what I can do? Many Thanks for any replies in advance perfumeflower xx

  There is a program that was made just to remove these types of Browser Hijackers, it is called CWShredder. http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products/personal/CWShredder/ If it is one of the browser hijackers not covered by CWShredder then use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware which will take care of it. In fact I would still run these 2 even if CWS works. Be sure to manually update them. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php http://www.superantispyware.com/ http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-adware-spyware-scumware-remover.htm Once your computer is clean and working normally then turn off System Restore, wait 30 seconds, turn it on again, and create a new restore point. This way you get rid of potentially infected restore points and create a new clean one in case you need it in the near future.
