Is it a windows xp computer? or a mac? do you have internet explorer? I think you can go 'start', 'run' and then type 'cookies' then delete all of them, unless there is one that looks different from the rest. OR go to internet explorer, then go 'tools','internet options' then there should be a button that says 'delete cookies'. But that's only for windows, I think.

Generally speaking, you dont have to delete cookies - usually, they dont (or shouldn't) pose a security threat. If you just got your computer, then there probably wont be any cookies to delete anyway. For later reference, though, here it is: after you start internet explorer, go to tools > internet options, and click on the "delete cookies" button (about halfway down the screen).

Assuming (WINDOWS OS): You could do what others suggest from IE (Intenet Explorer) OR you could use a program like MRU-Blaster: MRU-Blaster is a privacy cleaning tool that scans your computer for MRU (most recently used) entries, cookies and Internet cache files and offers to remove them. MRU entries are left by almost any software, they are used to allow you to access recently used files, documents etc. While they are convenient for most users, they can also reveal details of what you ve been doing, what documents you have worked on etc. For those that would rather not keep this information accessible, MRU-Blaster will do the job. It can detect more than 30,000 MRU items and quickly scans your system, then presents you with a list. Additional features include cookie cleaning (with exclude option), secure file deletion, index.dat file deletion and more.

1. Best way to remove unwanted or suspected harmful cookies would be to use spyware programs like Ad-aware...http://www.lavasoft.com 2. To remove them manually, you may access them thru your explorer.... C:\Documents and Settings\"NAME"\Cookies The "NAME" is the name you logged on when you enter XP... PS: suggest not to remove cookies manually as some programs may require these cookies to access their web sites... Removing all will results in slower access to these website when you access them again... hope the above info helps... regards

If you're using the Internet Explorer (browser) you can do this: 1) click on Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies. You should also delete files in the temporary internet directory: Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files, click on the box to "delete offline content." Click Ok.
