How can I search back in all my emails?

How do you make it so that your emails from Microsoft Outlook don't show up on search in windows start?

  • I use Microsoft Outlook to check my emails and such. Today I realized that the contents of my emails can be easily seen through the search command from the Windows Start menu. For example, when I click on the Windows Start button and type "member" on the search bar, I can see emails (subject header) relating to the word "member" under Microsoft Office Outlook section. This can give away private information to anyone who types that in the search bar. So I was wondering, is there any way to make my emails private from the windows search command?

  • Answer:

Yes, but that is only when you do a search. Anyone else on your computer will not have access to the folder(s) in which your emails are stored.
