When I click on that it lists various menus. In there I have a dubious heading which I wish to remove from the computer completely. I have been into customise toolbar and removed it but it stiil shows up on the menu. I use BT Yahoo Norton anti virus etc which I have ran and it does not show any spyware etc. The dubious item appeared after visiting site www.live-footy.org! Can anyone help please? I have also been into add/remove programmes but cann't find in there.

sounds like another IE problem. You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from www.download.com. Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems. avg do a very good anti virus and its free.

Get a better anti-virus software like avast, norton is crap in my experience, i had viruses on my computer after trying to download p2p to watch live footy, its a hot bed for viruses because people know plenty of blokes will want to watch live footy for free.

I used IE7 for a week and hated it. I think it's awful. I removed it and within seconds of removing it I felt much better. I tried to shift stuff and make things disappear but it doesn't appear to be very user friendly. I know a few people who have just got rid. You'd think they could have made some proper improvements, most of the screen is taken up with bloody tool bars and all the garbage that came down line with it slowed my system down. Get rid.

Yeah, follow gazbag's advice and download Firefox at http://www.mozilla.com/.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
