What is wrong with my McAfee (it won't let me scan?

McAfee isnt letting me run a virus scan?

  • I tried to log onto my compluter, and its a Toshiba not sure exactly what kind it is, and it said "Problems kept your computer from starting. We are now fixing the problems" and when i logged on, McAfee said that my computer is at risk because Real Time Scanning isnt on, but when i tried to turn it on, it would amidiatly go back to being turned off! It took me atleast 7 or 8 times to get it to stay on, but now it wont let me run either a Quick Scan OR a Full Scan! Is there a virus that is keeping me from doing this? Please help, my computer is the only way i can keep in touch with my Wife and I dont want it to fail right now!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

    McAfee is not an antivirus it is rated as a crap! unistall it and get a good one free as : Avast! Avira Or AVG Paid : 1. Bitdefender total security 2. Kaspersky pure or internet security 3. Eset Bitdefender is recommended by (av test) as the best 2012 antivirus !
