What is better limewire or frostwire?

What's better for your computer, Limewire or Frostwire?

  • I just got a new computer and it is starting to run slowly. Is it because I have limewire downloaded? And if it is, then is Frostwire better for my computer? Or how should I get my music?

  • Answer:

What type of computer is it? If it is a PC stop using LimeWire! you never really know what you are downloading, and many times what you think is your favorite song is really a virus. The sad fact is that if you are on a PC there is no way to STEAL music without opening yourself up to viruses. It sounds like you are already infected. I do not know of Frostwire but if it lets you download copy-written material for free, it is opening you up to viruses. Buy a Mac or start paying for music! Thats not what you wanted to hear, I know, but its the truth.

Neither. Depending how intelligent you are and your downloading habits you could potentially get viruses from both. Check the file sizes and don't download anything that pops up with your exact search terms and a whole bunch of other junk behind it, if it's smaller than 1MB don't download it, and if your going to play it get VLC media player it's not susceptible to all the viruses and media license crap you get with Windows Media Player. Also, don't install anything if it came from P2P, ever, it's always a trick. I've learned through know how and trial and error, so as long as you pay attention to what your downloading you should be fine.

frostwire and limewire if installed will give you adware(spyware) even though they say differently. you're better off with torrents, but nothing is 100% safe

limewire is alright just as long as u dont download programs

joshuacomer_420

both as bad as eachother, you could try itunes but you have to pay

Milkshaaakes!

both the same they give you viruses

David

lime wire ! all you need to do is add mcafee security

I say go with Frostwire because it is open source and always free no paying for an premium version of it. also the company is hosted in another meaning the US cannot shut it down.

Okay. It's not the program you are useing to access gnutella, it's the stuff you are getting from it. The Bnutella (limewire frostwiure bearshare etc) network is just a cesspool of infected files. You'd be better off with a $20 skid row hooker and no condom. It makes no difference whatsoever which client you use to access gnutella. For music iTunes is just about a SAFE as it gets. Trust me, it worth every penny of the dollar you have to spend on a song NOT to have to redo your operating system every two months. If you want to speed up what you have going now, Disinfect with a good anti-virus, give it a high colonic with spybot S+D and Lavasoft Adaware, hit the registry three times in a row with Ccleaner. Use msconfig to push down all your startup programs, and STOP DOWNLOADING PIRATED WARES from public networks or you will end up in the same boat (yarr).
