How can I find the address of one IP number?

I need to know how can I find out the address of one computer with a specific IP number. Is there a special program/web site? I.e. If I receive and e-mail from an IP 555.666.77.88 how can I know the writer of this e-mail? THANKS A LOT!!!

Not going to happen. You may be able to find out what state or city they are in. But not an email address. This is because people have many email address and they are not linked to any ip address. I can go the work and send an email on gmail using that pc's ip and go home and send a email with another ip address. Now you may have better luck breaking the email down to find the sender. No matches were found for that IP address. Maybe you copied it over wrong or it is fake. Here's where you can check though.

You can't really. One of the reasons is - that's not even a real IP address. If you are THAT concerned - try contacting your ISP, and go from there.

There are a couple of ways to do this. You could use NSLOOKUP to lookup the web address (run this from a command prompt on your machine) Then use the whois service to find out who own the web address. S.
