When I run anti-spy, message reads checksum of downloaded file is incorrect, what does that mean, how fix?

I had the same problem as well. And I even uninstalled it from my control panel, programs, yahoo antispy...and nothing. I went to my c:\program files and CA Yahoo spy and low and behold there was an uninstall file there and the program was still there...so deleting from control panel did nothing. So I ran the uninstall from that Ca Yahoo directory and this time it did uninstall. Then when I clicked on the toolbar on my anti spy button it asked me to download the newest version...which is dated 4/2009...not like the old that was dated 2008....all is well now...

try this: go to start then to run type CHKDSK in searchbar and click OK let the entire program run.if there is a problem,it may/may not fix itself
