How do I put a password on a zip folder?

How can I put one password on a bunch of files?

  • I have about a hundred different word documents that I want to put a password on. I don't want to have to do Tools-Security-Password for each one individually. Is it possible to put a password on all of them? I've tried a zip folder but it didn't work. I right clicked and chose "add password" and typed in a password but the files still opened without the password. Thanks for helping!

  • Answer:

use WinRAR or WinZip programs. I prefer WinRAR.

A good software to protect your files and folders with a password - Folder Castle. You can move all your documents in folder and hide this folder. Also you can put all your documents in Secure Storage and encrypt them. More information: http://www.magneticsoft.com/FolderCastle.shtml
