Hi, you have a virus, and you can take steps to get rid of it as you will get answers on how to do that. You have nothing to worry about with the site trying to charge you, its a hoax. So don't even worry about any of that, just focus on getting rid of the virus. Oh, and there's an awesome site that will scan your computer and fix problems, its called trend micro. Go to housecall.trendmicro.com (not www.)

Yes, it is a scam. Firstly update and run your anti-virus product. You can also run a free online scan as well as some malware can actually corrupt or disable your resident security products. Here are a few online scans you can run: Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm Norton - http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym Second download, update and run scans using the following products: SuperAntispyware http://superantispyware.com/ Spybot S&D (free version requires manual updating) http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ AVG AntiSpyware http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5 Adaware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating) http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php (These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating) Third, after cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process. Lastly, you may also want to install the following tool. It is free and requires you to check for and enable updates manually once a week or so. It uses no system resources. SpywareBlaster (inoculates, not a spyware removal tool) http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html ================================ If you cannot get it removed after the above, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication. Relax. It is a scam and ot seems to be a UK only type thing. Here in the US, we have a similar one called Moviepass :-( It is actually spyware installed without your consent on your computer. Prevx1 has been reported to remove MBS and the files that cause it (mbsmon32.exe): http://spywarefiles.prevx.com/RRHGDH22653626/mbsmon32.html Prevx1 offers a free trial removal: http://www.prevx.com/ Good luck.

yes its probably a scam, or worse still collects email address's or info.. the only real way to get rid of annoyances that don't want to leave is to scan in safe mode (tap f8 on boot), as they will keep re-infesting your registry.. and perhaps you might have to turn off system restore also.. hopefully your also running a decent firewall + av? if not , try zone alarm free + avg free. a scan in safe mode with spybot is always good. it's a bit like gardening.. if you have weeds and don't cut them from the root, they will re-grow.. using safe mode, also removes the root of them =) http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner try that also, if they have tried to hide the un-installer. in the tools menu, you should be able to uninstall it.. also the issues tab to find anything thats left behind in the registry that shouldn't be there.

Its a scam so just ignore it. run spybot in safe mode that should get rid of it. To get into safe mode. when your PC switches on tap repeatedly the F8 key then select safe mode with the up and down arrows then press entre. this should get rid of it. if not then you may have some virus and you'll have to run your antivirus. if this doent get rid of it then back up all your important data and drivers and reinstall Windows.

yeah it's a scam. don't pay it theres nothing they can do. if you where to have used it you would have to have paid them upfront before you even got access to there site. so just ignore it and clean your system like said above even though this is going to a big extreme all you need is avg adaware and spybot. forget the rest you'd be hear all year sorting it out.

Don't worry as long as you did not click on the page when it opened. It's only a way of frightening you to try and get you to click on it check out what is going on. That way they get you to their site. As long as you didn't do that. Even if you did, forget the threat that you owe them money. However if you did then they could have planted anything on your computer, however Spybot may have removed it. Better to get a subscription service as well such as Spyware Doctor. It finds things that Spybot won't. You can download it and run for free to see what you got, but if you want to erase you need to subscribe

Hi, I've got the same crap on my computer, and no I didn't sign up to it. If it's not a scam why does the final date keep getting extended and the £39.99 not go up? I'll happily let them take me to court for the cash if they are a real company and then sue them for invasion of privacy and harrasment, until then I'll continue ignoring , clicking on it to change from "always on top" til someone tells me how to get rid of it.

If someone with a nearby laptop was there, they could've sent a packate to your PC to re-route the browser page, legally, they wouldn't be able to put a finger on you, regardless of whather it's you or yyour family or not, as you could say that in a counter-case, that they are guilty of slander, and attempted theft by deception. Just ignore it, and report it to the owner of the wireless network. If you own the wireless network, report the back to the IWF and your local police force, and also your ISP, in addition to this, set the address to "blocked" with your firewall progream, (I recommend Symantec's NIS2007.3), and also, run a full system scan for jokers, modders, hijackers and keyloggers, as these may be whats causing your page to be redicrected, (NIS will tell you what each detected item is, what it does, and recommends you a course of action). Also make sure that any sensitive programs and files on your computer are passworded and/or encrypted.
