Do I need to secure my website?

I need to know if " Luxebox" by loose button is a secure website! HELP, someone answer please.?

• i was just about to buy a luxebox when my mom noticed there wasnt a "s" on the end of the http, which she says means the website isnt secure, so she wont put her credit card on the site . is it secure or.. has anyone used it ?! HELP! PLEASE

  Contact the people at Luxebox. HTTPS is great but the transaction with the creditcard does not pass by the website at Luxebox. The collector has to use the protocol by Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, ... and normally stores no credit card information with Luxebox or themselves. The proces is: you buy with credit card. Luxebox directs you to it's collecting agent. The collecting agent checks with the credit card company. The credit card company gives OK or not OK to the collecting agent. The only thing Luxebox gets is 'payment in order' or 'error like no credit'. The collecting agent is like the spokesman between the reseller and the credit card company. Only authorized collecting agents can 'talk with the credit card company'.
