What is a good antivirus for small business?

Why do some antivirus companies suddenly discontinue and go out of business?

• There have been 100's of AV companies during the late 90's and early 2000's that started very promising. But then suddenly discontinued and shut down business. 100's of people have tried creating their own AV company but then give up at some point. For example Helix discontinued in June 2009 even though many people had high expectations from it and were eagerly waiting to use. Super antivirus, another company shut down in 2008 without giving reasons. Another popular AV named AOL shield discontinued few years back. Microsoft one care, a paid AV of early 2000's quit in 2007. A lot of them just could not compete or match up with companies like kaspersky, avira, avast, etc etc.. Why so?

  Well, programs like Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG Free, and avast! Free are big competitors against paid antivirus vendors. A lot of people can also get free subscriptions to programs like Norton and McAfee by their internet service provider. When people go and buy a computer they are talked into buying security software, but afterwards they start learning about free antivirus software and when their subscription expires they tend to start using free antivirus programs. There's a free program to do almost anything nowadays and it's taking a toll on the big companies.
