How do I contact my computer's system administrator?
-
I received a computer from someone so I don't have administrator rights. I don't know the name of the original administrator, so I can't contact him, but I want to change the administrator to my name. Does anyone know what the process is for this? Any steps would help. Thanks!

Answer:
Depending on your system OS you can get into preferences and set yourself up as a new or other administrator.

There are some diagnostic CDs out there that will allow you to change the admin password. I'm thinking the name is something like Ultimate_Boot_CD or something. Or google lost admin password. Hope this helps...
