How to create/moderate financial message board?

Can the owner of a message board get my personal information?

• I post on a message board for the residents of the small town where I grew up. The message board is owned by somebody who knows my dad, and because my dad is in politics, I don't want the message board people to know I'm related to him. This is mostly because some of the people there are pretty hateful and I would hate to cause any trouble for my dad. Also he and I have different opinions about things. I registered on the message board with fake information (fake name, address, etc.) and an email address that's also anonymous (fake information there too). Besides being able to determine the city I post from, can the message board owner find out any of my personal information or identity? Thanks for all responses.

  If everything you put is anonymous, you should be okay. The only thing the board owner could do is trace your IP address (a specific number set that links message posts to a specific computer). If you're concerned about this in the future, use a public computer.
