How to Stop TCP FIN SCAN on Mac?
-
I have a MAC and possibly could have something on the machine? Needing some help here to determine what it could be. The log shows they are all from OUTBOUND. So does that mean someone/something is scanning my machine from outside or is there something on my machine that is scanning itself and shows up on the router logs? Here is the security log files from the Belkin router: 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49609->> 74.125.224.56, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **Vecna Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49614->> 212.64.142.108, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49672->> 208.81.191.111, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49753->> 68.142.79.70, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49785->> 176.34.247.216, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51070->> 205.251.215.40, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51073->> 66.150.149.23, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51076->> 96.17.111.16, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51086->> 74.114.28.200, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51093->> 208.93.142.190, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51106->> 205.234.175.175, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51124->> 96.17.111.33, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51402->> 205.251.215.159, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:31:13 **Vecna Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51431->> 69.89.93.5, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 57779->> 74.125.224.46, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 55349->> 184.73.169.228, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 55188->> 205.251.215.208, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51433->> 69.89.93.5, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 54144->> 8.26.198.253, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51929->> 74.125.127.95, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 55192->> 96.17.237.177, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51086->> 74.114.28.200, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49753->> 68.142.79.70, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 54712->> 174.140.132.160, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 58077->> 184.169.77.168, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51093->> 208.93.142.190, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 58293->> 96.17.227.206, 443 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 58181->> 184.169.72.169, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 49785->> 176.34.247.216, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51076->> 96.17.111.16, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 58043->> 96.17.226.77, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 16:25:54 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51070->> 205.251.215.40, 80 (from WAN Outbound) 03/08/2012 03:04:50 **TCP FIN Scan** 192.168.2.3, 51446->> 74.125.224.125, 443 (from WAN Outbound)
