How do I remove Spyware Protect 2009 off of my computer?

  • I know that Spyware Protect 2009 is a scam anti-virus software, and I have searched on how to remove this program off of my computer. I have found a few sites that claim to have programs you can download to remove it, but you have to pay money for those (and I'm not lending out credit card information to anybody I don't trust after having Spyware Protect 2009 try to steal it). A few sites I have checked describe how to manually remove it, but the process they say to close are not running on my computer. The files they say to delete are not on my computer, but Spyware Protect 2009 is. Can you help me get this horrible virus off of my computer? Thanks in advance, and I promise to give 10 points to the person who gets this off of my computer for once and for all.

Malwarebytes usually destroys SP 2009. Have you tried Spybot?
