  • someone continues to hack into my account. i have changed the password but they are still going at it. how can i find out who it is or how they are going about it? last time i heard from they were being a smart *** and said something about ip tracing and fingerprint id monitoring. does anyone have any clue as to what i can do -- this is really frustrating!

I think that you have a keylogger program/virus installed on your computer. That programs tracks all keystrokes on a computer and sends it to its owner. Run a virus check imediately. Thats my best guess anway.

at first you should find the source if this problem. hackers always use some decisive executive files to get your PC infected with spy wares, and each time you run this infected executive file on your PC a spy ware will be installed on your PC and it's capable to send your Yahoo passwords and Internet account password to the hacker. then even when you reinstall windows, you give the second chance to the hacker by running that infected file. and everything will get started from the beginning... I recommend you to find the infected file and erase it and install a firewall program on your PC to protect it from getting infected by these rubbishes...

one step closer

The hacker must have memorized your yahoo ID. If I were you I would create a new yahoo email. I had read in here that yahoo can be hacked and yahoo email address is one of the data needed. If you change your email address then they would not know it. Unless the hacker is someone who received email from your end.

Yahoo has to ways in which you can log on to their websites. 1. Directly, where it sends the userid and password over TCP/IP which anybody tapping on your LAN or who is in the path can read. 2. Securely. This is over SSL and ensures that only your computer and the computer which runs yahoo can see it. Choose this option when you want to access your account. You may also have spy-ware on your machine which got installed when you installed some software from a site or installed a crack for a software (which you should never do without virus check). Also download a shareware version of spyware removal and run it on your machine. A good free on us Spybot Search and Destroy. You can download it over internet. Also invest in a good anti-virus/firewall suite like Norton Internet security which will show up any programs which try to access internet without your permission.
