How do i password protect an folder on pc?

There are many ways.. You can either use a commercial software or Zip it....right click the folder and click send to... Choose compressed zip folder.... A new zip file will appear... You may want to delete the original one... Right click the new zip file and select file from the menu Select create password

You can password protect your folder by password protection software like (folder guard, my secret folder etc.) I had both of these software both are working very well. I've password protected many folders in my computer with these softwares, nobody can open the folders exept me because I only knows the password. When you try to open the folder it prompts for password, therefore only those person can open folders who knows password, moreover you cannot even break the password and if you forget the password you need to format your PC so if you are using these software be sure you keep the password which you will never forget.

i think you have to password protect your account inorder to password protect the files in it. well thats at least what my friend said because i wanted to do the same thing. not sure if this is true info but its what ive been told.

you cannot password protect a normal windows folder but what you must do is this: copy all the contents of the folder into a compressed folder (to get a compressed folder right click, new, compressed (zip) folder). then open this folder and right click which will bring up a menu and then choose add password
