How do I get past the computer lock?

How can I lock the computer so my (teen)boys can't get onto bad/rude sites?

  • Have 2 teens who has gotten onto a porn site and jammed my computer (VIRUS). Need help to lock from these disgusting sites please. Thank you, look forward to your replies...

    You can put a password on the PC. Creating A Log On Password For Windows XP Go into your Control Panel by first clicking on the Start Button. Then click on the Control Panel icon located in the right column of the Start Menu. If your Start Menu is set to the Classic View, then begin by clicking on the Start Button. Then click on Settings, then click on the Control Panel icon to open up the Control Panel. Now, Double click on the User Accounts icon to open up the User Accounts window. Then click on the User Account that you want to create a password for. Then click on the Create a password link on the left side of the screen. Windows will ask you to Type a new password and also ask you to confirm it. Type your Password in both areas and then you can also type in a password hint as well. Now click on the Create Password button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes. Windows will then ask you if want to make your files and folders private. You can decide according to the provided information and then click on your choice. Your password will be saved and you will need to enter it the next time you start your system. Now close the User Accounts window and the Control Panel window to return back to your session.

Install Mcafee SageSite or NetNanny. These programs allow you to lock the computer internet from accessing the websites your boys have gotten into.

i will advice u 2 install a personal firewall, which will help u in security,viruses,plus it will block all these kinds of 3rd class sites & if u want them to open u will have to specify a password

You can put a password on the computer, you can limit which sites they visit etc. The best advice I can give is either don't let them use it at all OR if they must be allowed to use it, make sure the computer is in the same room as you and you can see the screen.
