Why aren't any programs opening on my computer?

• Everytime I try to open a program (any program) on my compaq running on windows vista it says that "Windows cannot open this file & to pen this file windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it and to either use to web to look for a suitable program or choose from a list" But the programs are all there and I triple checked this. I recently torrented Spyware Doctor to get rid of the fake antivirus software that downloaded itself onto my computer "Vista Guardian 2010" after I used Spyware Doctor to get rid of the fake antivirus software it all went to hell...The Malware is gone but nothing works!!!!!!!!!!(oddly they work indirectly, if I manage to log on to aim, it connect to mozilla firefox and that runs, but if i click on the mozilla firefox icon to run then it doesn't work)

  You need an exe fix for your computer, the virus program has ripped up your registry. Don't worry I have solution for you problem right here on this link. Download it and just run it, When a dialog pops up click "Yes" .
