What do I do to stop email spam?

This one is for Yahoo itself. What do you do to actually stop the porn email that I get and report as spam?

  • I want to know if Yahoo actually does anything to stop those who send this trash, other than thanking me for reporting the SPAM. It would be a comfort to know that Yahoo is actually doing something to stop these creeps. But I feel that all that is being done amounts to a slap on the wrist. I don't know where this stuff comes from, but would feel a lot better if I knew these idiots were being reported to someone of authority, and charges were being brought against them. If I get this much "trash" in my email..and I can gurantee it was not asked for, it is no wonder that our kids have such free access to some of the sites that they do, let alone the preditors waiting out there having easy access to our kids.

    it has nothing to do with yahoo. it's a virus in your computer .......just do a virus scan and delete them.

You can go here http://www.ftc.gov/spam/ to the governments site and file a complaint. This is particularly useful when, as in your case, the unsolicited mail contains porn. Look along the left of their page to "File A Complaint".
