Are there any websites similar to myspace, or facebook?

How do I block certain websites like myspace and facebook on someone's computer?

  • We have a teenager who is constantly on facebook and myspace. It's getting in the way of her studying. How do I go about preventing access to those websites? She has windows vista basic.

Hum, parenting through censorship. Isn't your question more related to the to the issue of parenting. Why don't you pull the computer out of her room and keep an eye on her? I am by far not the most computer literate person around but I can circumvent any attempt to block my access to any site. I however could not overcome good parenting. Also I am a parent myself and I thought that this would be common sense.

maybe talk to her about it first..... if she knows you are wanting to block those sites perhaps she will spend less time on them.....

I think this is a great question!!! This person is looking for an answer to her specific question, not to see what you think about her parenting skills. If you only want to offer your limited knowledge answer re: parenting skills...try a different category. Wow, geesh...I guess I got a little worked up there. :)
