are you using mozilla firefox? you should. it's better than Internet Explorer in blocking popups.

internet explorer it under tools you turn it on or off In Firefox you can ad a Ad on Plug in to handle Pop ups It also has McAfee Site Advisor it warn you of Bad Web sites when searching Google and Yahoo.

don't check on porn sites, be careful on what you click while browsing(you will see like those you win a million bucks, free screensavers and so on...) and get a good Antivirus program... you can get a trial that works for 2-3 months...

You can get a good pop-up stopper CD for about $10. at Circuit City that works great. It is worth it. Yahoo advanced blocks some pop-ups, too.
