If I reboot my computer (reinstall my operating system and pretty much starting new again), will it clear any viruses or trojans and such from my computer? I have a dell computer

Answer:
Yes if you put a disk in that will delete everything literally anything you want to save put it onto a memory stick and then just reinstall the program... If you are using rogers I would download their antivirus thing like i have i dont have any problems with my computer pop-ups tell me if a virus is trying to get onto my computer... but before that, i had a virus and my mom paid this guy she knows $50 and he did everything on the computer now i have windows xp and i love it! i dont like vista as much as xp :) good luck!

Well, that's not a reboot. Rebooting is just restarting. Bet yes, reinstalling the os will fix your problems.

Ya it should if you wipe your harddrive, and reboot BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PRODUCT KEY if you dont, this program can read your computer and grab it for you http://downloads.sourceforge.net/keyfinder/keyfinder.2.0.1.zip?use_mirror=osdn without the product key you cannot reboot also you will jump through the roof once you realise how fast your computer is rebooted. also if you want a good anti-virus try this http://free.avg.com get the free version. Also if you think you have a virus DO NOT enter ANY personal information such as bank pin etc. into your computer, the virus may be recording your every move and word.

Yes, but I wouldn't back anything up because these files will be infected then you will reinfect your computer once you put them back in to your computer. Make sure you wright down the license to all your programs before you reinstall your OS

uh no if you want to remove them you'll need an anti-virus program. if you don't want to buy one there are free home versions available on the internet. i generally use avast but you can find others out there as well.
