How do i reset a password in a vaio e series?

• I had a Vaio laptop, which was given to my brother. He set a password for it, and then he said he din't want it.Eventually, he forgot the password. now i want to use it, because my laptop's battery's spoilt and i ddon't want to buy another another one. But i can't break through the password and my brother has forgotten it. Any of these solutions will work: 1) How to reset the laptop to factory settings without logging in 2)Reset the password without a password reset disk 3)Log in without the password... anything else. I don't want anything inside it, so if everything in it goes away i don't mind... any solutions?????????? thanks alot!!!

  You cant reset the password without logging in or without a disc to get the password. Your only solution for YOU is to restore factory settings, just boot up your computer, and while its starting up, hit F10 repeatedly until you get the restore function. Sometimes its F5, F12, depending on what Sony set it to. This is of course assuming there is a backup made on the laptop already, if not, well your screwed unless you want to just get a password recovery disc.
