How To Create Face Off Photo?

Face - in photo (almost) always ugly, in mirror (almost) always pretty?

  • Why I look so different on the photo/mirror? What I absolutely can't understand is, that my eyes are twice smaller and face much wider than in the mirror. I look like I've 20kg more than I have. I know, that it's all about lightning, but it seems, that almost at all photos I'm bad lightnened. I'm not photogenic, or what? I'm quite fair (phototype 1/2), so maybe I simple can't look good at the photo...Only sometimes, maye 1 photo of 20 i look normal (almost always photo taken without flesh, and in soft light, when I don't look so white and so fat ). Simple in mirror it seems, that there are natural shadows in face, and I don't see sharply my face borders, so I look "natural" and good, but at the photo my face borders are totally sharp and whole face is lightened - and I look like white fat whale...So how I really look like?

    I have that same problem, I always hate pictures of myself. Some people just aren't photogenic and also it depends on the quality of the camera and how much the white balance and such is adjusted. If you face always looks white with lots of shadows then the lighting and/or camera is not adjusted properly to take some good photos.

the same here i can look awesome in the mirror and in person but I'm not at all photogenic. try to stand in front of the mirror and take your camera so the lens faces you and look in the mirror so you can see the camera screen and adjust your angle and lighting so that once you take the picture it should turn out good, and if necessary you can always photo shop the pictures
