Where can I get a halter strap for my swimsuit?

I bought a swimsuit at the end of the season on sale, it was the last suit, and it came with a detachable halter strap. However it was missing and the salesperson had no idea where it went. I contacted the company who made the swimsuit and they had stopped producing that swimsuit so they could not send me one. I have no idea where to get a strap? I really have poor sewing skills and don't trust myself to be able to make my own. Does anyone know where I could buy just a plan white strap?
