Why do nails keep growing?

I am growing my finger nails but they keep breaking?

    Actually, don't grow your nails too quickly. Part of them breaking is the way you use your hands, not the actual strength of the nail. Start with keeping them just to the tips of your fingers. You will have to change the way you use your hands, and this takes time. Once you have adjusted, allow them to grow just past the tips, etc.

Try a professional manicure to start with to get your nails and cuticles in shape. Keep your hands and especially your cuticles well moisturized. Get in the habit of wearing gloves when cleaning and washing dishes. Be patient as it may take awhile if you have been neglecting your nails.

During the weekend, warm up some olive oil or milk in a small bowl and soak your nails in the mixture for 5-10 minutes. At the very least, you will get a nice finger soak. You can also add a little bit of lemon juice to bleach your nails. After the soak, pat your nails dry and paint them with a clear nail polish. You can apply more coats during the week if you need to. Also, if your nails do break don't file or tear them! It you file broken nails wrong it can really mess it up and tearing is painfull and messy. Just clip them and if you need to, even up the rest of your nails. Good luck!

sally hansen has a whole line of nail polishes (is that a word?...lol) that helps to strengthen ur nails.....n it isnt that expensive ..like $3 a bottle!!! u can find it at like ne drugstore (cvs...riteaid...etc) (check out my questions...no ones answered them yet...lol)
