Also on the underside of the straps of a fake, there is a split line where the handle has wrapped around the brass ring that holds the handle to the bag, and has been stiched across. (You can see where it has been cut too). If you still are not sure, you can always take it to a LV store.

If you are not able to check the zipper, liner and number of pieces of fabric used in the construction of the purse - be very observant. . . The person with the purse - do their clothes, shoes, car, activity reflect someone that could actually afford to spend 300+ dollars on a purse? check the print on both sides. they should mirror perfectly. Check the lining, the strap: color and thread, and the logos. But if you can't tell, no one else will! Plus, why spend the money if a fake looks real? they use the same material anyway. LV gives these people their scraps. (I swear that is true- I learned it in Italy)
