Does laser hair removal work?

• I saw that Argos is selling this new toy. It is expensive and I am sure that if I buy it and doesn't do what it says on the box I won't be able to return it due to hygenic reasons. Has anyone tried it and if it does work, does it only work on soft hair or it also works on legs that have been shaved for the past 15 years? I have tried the creams for hair removal and they don't work very well with thick hair. But creams cost 5 quid so it is OK to try and not work, this toy is nearly 200.

  I have the Rio Laser Hair Removal kit - the £90 one - and it works well. I would buy the one that does larger areas now that I have this one - it only does indiviual hairs. It also only works on fair skin, so if you are tanned or darker skinned it wont work. It also only works on dark hair, fair hair wont conduct the laser. The darker hair the better ! Mine works.
