Glitter in your eyes?

Glitter on your eyes?

  • Can you use normal glitter that you might use for art or something on your eyelids if you mix it with a little bit of water? I've heard that you can but it's hard to get of. All answers appreciated :)

  • Answer:

Ok If you read some of the Makeup Forever Or even M.A.C or Ben eye Alot of the glitter they sell says on the back "Do Not Use Near Eye Area" Why? Because Glitter no matter how finely cut Can Cut Your Eye Of course you see people with glitter on the eye in Magazines or Ads Or ppl on the street And when done right It can look Great , Of course ppl are gona wear it but companies warn you so that They dont get in trouble!!! I wear glitter on my eyes & it Does not look Tacky When Done right it looks very disco lol or creative I am a Makeup artist & alot of us use it of Course alway giving the warning to clients, who by the way never seem to care, So Just be sure to have a good base & Sealer to be sure it does not fall into your eye!!

ew! please please please don't put glitter on you're eyes because it looks quite tacky to be honest and it crumples when you blink and it gets all in your eyes. if money is the issue for you to buy some eyeshadow places like asda, or whatever your local supermarket is, you should be able to find some really nice makeup for really good prices :)

Generally I would say no but you can watch television or flip through any magazine and they will put feathers, rhinestones and all kinds of things as eye make-up. Glitter is glitter although they have 'make-up' grade glitter which is smaller, thinner and smoother. The issue is scratching your cornea in case any of the glitter gets in there. In the least you will need to wait 48 hours for your eye to heal but at worst you can ruin your vision. I wouldn't use the big craft glitter but as long as you have a fine one you should be ok. Many brands sell pigments which have a lot of glitter and some are even full on glitter. Again, these are make-up grade and are better to use. I wouldn't use water I would use some kind of mixing medium, at least a saline solution like eye drops. You need something that will stick well that way it will stay on your eyes instead of moving into your eyes. Try checking out youtube to see how people use glitter around their eyes If it's hard to get off then it won't get into your eyes. You just need make-up remover and a q-tip to remove it, carefully. Vaseline or baby-oil also works, you just have to remove the baby oil or vaseline film afterwards but thats easy. Good luck.

kristin is great!

i wouldnt because its not made to stay on your skin and can get in your eyes and scratch them.

Bad idea, no sense going blind doing something like that. Anyway try to find actual makeup that is very glittery, I would start with Urban Decay, they used to make this insanely glittery (I mean big pieces of glitter) lipstick that I used to wear. They also used to make this product I think it was called "Cool shimmer stick" it was so weird, it gave this holographic airbrushed effect to the skin, I love it. They are likely to have something you are looking for.

I wouldn't because that stuff drys on ur eyes and it hurts a lot to get it off. but, theres some really cheap and cute glitter that you put on your eyes and its powdered so it doesnt hurt to get off. i use it all the time, and it isnt bad for ur eyes.

the flying llama, so suck it.
