Answer:
Hello i am a middle eastern makeup artist , i've done people like mona amarsha and haifa wehbe , my days are hard especially on the weekend where i have to do bridal makeup mostly , i started my career helping a friend of mine who workes as a makeup artist , i loved it and when a close friend of mine opened his own hair salon i became a partner and basically i am my own boss and i've always loved makeup now it is my full time job . I have done makeup on a lot of middle eastern singers such as mona amarsha , haifa wehbe and nancy ajram to name a few (google them) my signature look is the bronzed look with a bronzey smokey eye , dark mude lips and some coral blush to make her look sunkissed , also i do lots of arabic makeup which is popular these days and very artistic . The dislikes are clients who don't know what they want , if they don't know how should i know , i prefer the picky ones more ! Other than that i love my job i always have , sure i work long hours but i do what i love ! Some mistakes women do is apply under eye concealer way to much that it creases or when it's many shades lighter and makes it look unnatural that is not the point of makeup , also following trends does not mean you have to put on some makeup that doesnt suit you because it is trendy , and ofcourse going over board with bronzer , a little goes a long way ! I'm pretty sure i reached my goals , i own my own place and i make the rules ! Also i get people leaving with smiles which is a hreat feeling ! My favorite makeup products are all the different gorgeous eyeshadows and lipstick colors i have that i put on according my client's mood , dress or personality haha ! To a teen girl that wishes to follow this dream i would say go for it if you think you are talented and wouldn't mind doing it for hours everyday then it could be just what you are looking for , you might start of with not what you expected but slowly you get where you want with some hard work , all you need is ambition ! When i was a little girl i would give makeovers to my dolls , turn ken into a barbie , as a teenager my friends would ask me to do their makeup and when i turned 18 and really got into it people would ask me who did my makeup and when i'd tell them it's me they tell me i am very talented one stranger even asked me to do her makeup and that she would pay me , i was self taight and then a famous middle eastern makeup artist taught me what i didn't know , i always learn new things and love it ! This job needs serious dedication , you need time and training , finding a job deffers from a country to another , middle eastern wonen go to a makeup artist on a weekly basis instead of doing it themselves , also it depends on your position and how many shifts you work , i own my own place and have a few people working for me , If you aren't what people want you won't keep your job , it depends on your talent and if you can follow instructions , always listen to what your clients want and Do NOT do what you think you would want them wearing on their face , it is their happiness or nothing even when you think you know best . For others who would like to become a makeup artist you can start in a few places , such as a makeup shop for training but you have to go to cosmotology school to learn makeup , salons won't hire you without liscence , i got very lucky saved up some money and have friends who are already out there to help me . My name is Joelle .
