Make-up for acne scars?

Makeup for acne and acne scars ?

  • Okay well i am 16 and have moderate acne . I mostly just have scars here and there from when i use to mess with my acne. Anyways my dad has said he is tired of me using makeup from drugs stores, i have heard that MAC foundation isnt that good for acne , I am open to any brand rather expensive or cheap , i do have a combination of oily and dry skin. i hear clinique and chanel are good . so any help would be great . trying to do some research before i go and buy something expensive.

  • Answer:

Clinique is good for people with yellow undertones. Their Suberbalanced foundation is suppose to work for combo skin. I say "suppose to" because it really only lasts an hour or two before your face goes shiny and the makeup fades. Chanel is the same exact story. They offer gorgeous foundations but they only last an hour or two on your face. Unless you enjoy reapplying expensive makeup over and over again, I wouldn't recommend it. I would advise you to go to Sephora or Ulta and try different foundations to see which ones work for your face the best. DON'T listen to what the cosmetic-counter girls tell you. I made that mistake but they're paid to sell makeup...not give you honest information. Some foundations to give a try would be...Dior, Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, and Revlon's Colorstay.

Clinique makeup is good, so is bare minerals. But they are on the expensive side. A good brand that doesn't cost much is physician's formula, its around $10-20 depending On what u get (powder, bronzer, blush etc.) and u can get it at walmart

No!! Clinique is known for giving people an orange cakey face! I highly recommend Makeup Forever HD foundation & Laura Mercier silk creme foundation. Yes they are both expensive but totally worth it! They both go on like second skin, they cover everything up and it looks like your not even wearing foundation! They are full coverage. You will not regret these products I promise!!
